ABOUT ME

I’m 25 years old and currently living and working in Dublin, Ireland. I have been in the nightlife industry almost 8 years and considering it a passion led career more than a job.

Starting my club career at the age of 18, flyering and managing the door for some of Dublin's most well known student venues (Alchemy and Lafayettes) has helped me slowly shape a very unique career for myself within the industry in Dublin.

From helping out to eventually running my own parties and events in these venues - I have since went from out and out club promoter to the Marketing and Events Manager for two of Dublin's biggest clubs (The Academy and Index)and formerly Dublin's biggest club (The Wright Venue). From here I have created one of Ireland's biggest ever student nights, Konspiracy, in partnership with Shine Belfast and Bedlam as well as go on to run both a Friday and Saturday in the Academy and also run a full season of programming with some of the biggest names in the game at Index. Both simultaneously from October to December 2021.

The lessons learned through my now 8 years in the clubbing industry in Ireland have helped me carve a path to a full time career within nightlife. A very rare thing here in Ireland considering the shape of nightlife currently.

As well as managing club socials and events, I also advise and help book some of Ireland biggest festivals, such as Life Festival and Boxed Off. As the pandemic hit, I picked up managing a duo from Dublin (formerly my resident DJs) called Obskur. Who have since went on to play Warehouse Project, Boxed Off and racked up over 30 million Spotify streams all within the Covid 19 pandemic.

MARKETING MANAGMENT

In the marketing realm, I would describe myself as a creative content specialist. Using my experience of knowing what people my age want from their club experiences and constantly looking for what’s new in my relevant world - I’ve found success from the ground up when it comes to clubs and nightlife. In my Arsenal of creative tools, a decent knowledge of photoshop and video editing. The aim is always to make people want to be at or relive the night they had, or at least, wish they had been there.

In today's modern market, sponsored advertising is key and I believe the use of paid content is paramount when pushing ticket sales, as well as showing the customer what your events are really about. I am well adapted and comfortable with all social platforms advertising systems.

In the fast paced nightlife industry - it’s also key to be well versed in scheduling and timetables. Timing and preparation are key factors in any successful brand's working environment and I am well versed in this area.

Teamwork - as someone who concentrates on content production. Working closely with in-house photographers and videographers to bring my vision to life is one of my biggest strengths. These lenses wrap everything up and summarise almost the entire event online.

CURRENT ROLE AT DISTRICT 8

Marketing manager across both District 8 shows and weekly underground brand Index in Dublin. Some highlights have been a 12000 cap arena show with Bicep in March as well working with some of the biggest names in the game - Fisher, Jeff Mills, Trym, Kerri Chandler, blk, Hannah Laing, Solardo, Kettama, Mochakk, Richie Hawtin, Chris Stussy + many more. Just announced a massive Garden series for August featuring Camelphat, Rebuke + more. We also held the first dance music conference ever in Dublin called the D8 Academy last November.

WORK OUTSIDE OF CLUBS & FESTIVAL.

I also currently manage the socials for 2 of Bedlams projects outside of the clubbing and festival scene.

Rise Nordic Sauna - a facility that features a full sized Nordic Sauna and 2 outdoor hot tubs overlooking some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery - the Blessington Lakes.

The Fourth Corner - a classic Dublin pub in the heart of the city. Known locally as one of Dublin 8’s best places for a beer, the pub has adapted and survived right through the pandemic through takeaway cocktail drives and clever marketing.

ARTIST MANAGMENT

As the Covid pandemic became more prominent in March 2020 - My resident DJs at the time, Obskür, proposed a management project with them heading into the very uncertain time for dance music as a whole.

We took the first months of the pandemic to plan a strategic social plan that aligned with the duo's relevant release schedule - one of those songs (Bayside) has since gone on to gain over 40 million streams across Tik Tok, Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Through this early success - we signed with one of dance music's most iconic labels, FFRR and began working with the legendary Andy Daniell and also one of dance music's biggest booking agents in Dave Blackgrove. The man behind some of dance music's biggest modern tracks.

From here, the guys have gone on to play the likes of Warehouse Project, Boxed Off, Tokyo World and are set for a massive post pandemic journey - which starts in 2022 with an intense real ease schedule lined up. One of Ireland's most prominent production duos.

Managing one of the most promising duos in house music right now - recently announced for Elrow, We Are fest, Fabric, Emerge Belfast + many many more. Upcoming release with Defected as well as Danny Howard. Long term release contract with FFRR as well as shows already at The Warehouse Project, Creamfields, Amnesia.
